Job Description
Job title: Data Scientist Role Summary: Leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to transform complex data sets into actionable insights, supporting scalable business decisions across product and engineering domains. Expectations: Deliver production‑ready predictive models, collaborate closely with engineering teams, communicate findings clearly to non‑technical stakeholders, and continuously improve data quality and model performance. Key Responsibilities: - Clean, validate, and structure raw data for downstream consumption. - Design, implement, and optimize scalable predictive algorithms (regression, classification, clustering). - Work with engineering to deploy analytical prototypes into production environments. - Translate model outputs into strategic insights for business improvement. - Maintain and update documentation of data pipelines, model assumptions, and performance metrics. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one additional programming language (Java, C/C++). - Deep knowledge of machine‑learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and evaluation metrics. - Experience with big‑data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra) and visualization tools (Tableau, similar). - Strong problem‑solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent quantitative experience. - 1–2 years of applied data analytics or quantitative modeling experience. - Certifications such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent are a plus.
