Job Description: **Job Title:** Machine Learning Engineer **Role Summary:** Build and deploy production-grade ML models to predict patient deterioration from EHR data. Design scalable data pipelines, experiment with LLMs and agentic systems, and lead end‑to‑end POCs for new clinical conditions within a high‑growth AI startup. **Expectations:** - Deliver reliable, fast, and monitored models for high‑stakes healthcare use. - Own complete data‑to‑model lifecycle, from ingestion to realtime inference. - Continuously prototype, validate, and hand‑off new clinical prediction modules. - Work closely with leadership and external clients to align technical solutions with clinical priorities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Productionize tabular and text ML models (speed, monitoring, compliance). - Build and maintain horizontal pipelines for large‑scale EHR tabular and clinical note data. - Prototype and evaluate frontier AI (LLMs, LangChain, agentic workflows) for clinical note analysis. - Lead end‑to‑end POCs for conditions such as pressure ulcers, CHF readmissions, etc. - Perform MLOps tasks: model retraining, data versioning, email integration, and dataset scalability. - Collaborate with product and engineering to scale the platform across hospitals and conditions. **Required Skills:** - 3–5+ years of ML engineering in a fast‑growth environment. - Proven experience productionizing tabular/text models; strong software engineering practices. - Hands‑on use of LLMs and modern NLP frameworks. - Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines for huge structured and unstructured datasets. - Familiarity with MLOps tools and platforms. - Ability to work independently, iterate quickly, and communicate with non‑technical stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related field. ---
