Job Description

**Job Title:** Software Engineer (Founding Engineer) **Role Summary:** Lead the full‑stack design, development, and deployment of a cloud‑native accounting platform for enterprise month‑end closing. Shape architecture, integrate with core financial systems, and embed LLM‑based workflows. Collaborate closely with founders and early customers to prioritize features, maintain code quality, and drive product strategy. **Expactations:** - 1–3 years of end‑to‑end development experience, preferably at an early‑stage startup. - Proven ability to iterate rapidly, prototype, and integrate user feedback. - Passion for building secure, scalable financial software and willingness to help scale the engineering team and culture. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and build critical features: reconciliations, flux analysis, accruals automation. - Develop robust integrations with ERPs, HRIS, procurement software, and CRMs. - Design core backend components: job framework, data ingestion pipeline, financial modeling engine. - Implement best practices: code quality, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines. - Collaborate on product strategy, feature prioritization, and customer feedback loops. - Build and maintain planning and agentic workflows using state‑of‑the‑art large language models. - Contribute to technical decisions on scalability, security, and cloud infrastructure. - Mentor and recruit other engineers; help establish engineering culture. **Required Skills:** - Bachelor’s or master’s in Computer Science or related field. - Strong frontend skills with React and Next.js. - Proficient in backend development using Go (or equivalent). - Experienced with relational databases and data modeling. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). - Basic understanding of machine learning concepts to rapidly adopt LLM solutions. - Prior experience building financial or fintech systems is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
