Job title: Vice President Marketing
Role Summary: Lead U.S. marketing strategy and execution for a global FMCG portfolio, translating HQ directives into local actions, driving trade marketing, category management, and brand activation to accelerate growth.
Expactations: Deliver measurable marketing impact, sustain alignment with European HQ, manage cross‑functional teams, mentor staff, and oversee multi‑channel brand activations and new product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Own U.S. trade marketing and category management in line with global imperatives.
- Lead U.S. Trade Marketing, PR, and e‑commerce functions, integrating with sales and global marketing.
- Analyze sell‑in/out data, produce performance reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare ad‑hoc presentations for sales, distributor, and HQ meetings.
- Manage internal/external agency relationships to execute high‑impact marketing programs.
- Serve as brand advocate, ensuring consistent voice and positioning across all channels.
- Train, coach, evaluate, and develop direct reports; set goals and oversee delivery processes.
- Design world‑class brand activations for international U.S. NPD, securing market share.
- Develop multi‑channel U.S. activation plans, boosting distribution and consumption.
- Oversee Trade Marketing/Category investment envelopes, evaluating customer deals.
- Provide category insights to sales teams, protecting core business and expanding into new categories.
Required Skills
- ≥10 years experience in marketing or trade marketing, 5+ years FMCG/F&B/Wine & Spirits.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven leadership and people‑management: coaching, goal setting, performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in AI tools, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience launching new products in crowded markets; knowledge of IRI, Nielsen, IWSR is a plus.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships at all levels, both internal and external.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- Leadership/management certifications preferred (e.g., Certified Marketing Executive).
