Job title: VP, Marketing Strategy & Planning (12‑month Mat Cover)
Role Summary: Lead end‑to‑end media and content planning to drive awareness, subscriber acquisition and retention across all European markets. Oversee strategic planning, studio partnership alignment, and paid‑media execution, reporting directly to the Chief Streaming Officer.
Expectations: Deliver measurable improvements in awareness metrics, media ROI, and title launch impact; establish a unified, insight‑driven planning framework that accelerates decision‑making and aligns cross‑functional teams across D2C, PR, B2B and creative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the long‑term regional plan (LRP) and quarterly awareness and media strategies for European markets.
• Allocate and monitor a multi‑million‑euro paid‑media budget, ensuring tactical execution meets acquisition and retention targets.
• Own the media agency relationship: set strategic priorities, drive performance, and champion innovation using data science tools (predictive modeling, marketing mix modeling).
• Manage studio partnership programs (NBCUniversal, Paramount, Skydance) to synchronize campaigns, creative development, and title launch schedules.
• Provide actionable insights on core titles to studio stakeholders and the research team, enabling data‑driven campaign optimization.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of planners, content marketers, and media specialists; cultivate a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Create and standardize planning processes, ensuring clear objectives, rapid alignment, and accountability across teams.
Required Skills:
• 15+ years of senior marketing/media strategy experience in streaming, entertainment, or subscription services.
• Proven track record managing large paid‑media budgets and leading media agency relationships.
• Strong analytical acumen—expertise in predictive modeling, marketing mix modeling, and performance analytics.
• Deep understanding of European consumer markets (central and local).
• Exceptional leadership and team‑building abilities; inspire cross‑functional collaboration and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent strategic thinking, decision‑making, and communication skills in English.
• Ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable marketing concepts.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional certifications in marketing, media planning, or data analytics (e.g., CMO, CPP, MCMA) are advantageous.
