Job Description: Job Title: Retail Sales Associate Role Summary: Engage customers, process sales transactions, and maintain inventory in a physical retail environment. Supports product promotion, contract preparation, and customer service to drive sales and ensure a positive shopping experience. Expectations: - Handle all payment types (cash, cheque, credit card, debit). - Operate cash register accurately and maintain sales records. - Prepare and manage sales, rental, and leasing contracts. - Provide product knowledge and pricing estimates. - Promotion of products and services on the sales floor and via e‑commerce channels. Key Responsibilities: - Receive and process payments using cash, cheque, credit card or electronic debit. - Operate the cash register and reconcile daily cash totals. - Draft, prepare, and record sales, rental, and leasing agreements. - Advise customers on merchandise options, features, and benefits. - Advertise, promote, and upsell products and services. - Deliver frontline customer service and resolve inquiries. - Assist in merchandise display and presentation on the sales floor. - Execute online sales transactions through an internet‑based e‑commerce system. - Estimate or quote prices, credit terms, warranties, and delivery dates. - Greet customers, identify their needs, and recommend suitable products or services. - Maintain accurate sales records for inventory control. - Prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease agreements. Required Skills: - Proficiency in cash handling and POS systems. - Strong verbal communication and customer‑service skills. - Ability to explain product features and benefits clearly. - Basic online transaction processing and e‑commerce platform use. - Attention to detail in contract preparation and record‑keeping. - Team‑player attitude and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Required Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; preferred higher education in a related field (college/CEGEP). - Minimum 1 to <7 months of retail sales experience. - No specific certifications required.
