Job Title: Investment Banking Analyst – Off‑Cycle Intern Role Summary Provide operational and analytical support for M&A advisory, financing, and execution projects for European mid‑market companies. Produce client presentations, conduct industry and financial research, and maintain transaction databases while ensuring compliance and quality standards. Expectations • Commit to a 5‑6 month internship in London (intake Jan‑March or July‑September 2026). • Deliver timely, accurate analysis and materials for client meetings and internal reviews. • Work collaboratively with bankers, compliance, and support teams, maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity. • Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and strong communication in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Prepare and refine pitch decks, client proposals, and internal presentations. 2. Conduct comprehensive company and industry research, including financial data extraction. 3. Build and update financial models in Excel; analyze deal metrics and valuation scenarios. 4. Draft board papers and compliance take‑on documentation for internal approval committees. 5. Maintain internal databases of IPOs, M&A, and other transactions. 6. Monitor selected client and peer group market news, summarizing key insights. 7. Provide ad hoc support to active transactions (e.g., due diligence, documentation). Required Skills - Strong numeracy and financial literacy; proficient in Excel calculations and modelling. - Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Thomson Reuters Eikon (preferred). - Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenter. - Emotional intelligence, teamwork, and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. - Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Detail‑oriented, proactive, and solution‑focused attitude. Required Education & Certifications - Minimum 2:1 in a university degree (or on track to achieve). - No specific major requirement; finance, economics, or related fields are advantageous. - No mandatory certifications; relevant coursework or internships in finance preferred.
