About the Company

Borne out of the lengthy process of selling a previous business (The Sports Office Performance Management system), involving innumerous interactions with a designated ‘data room‘, founders Andy and Phil Clarke spotted an opportunity to look at the process of buying and selling a ‘major asset’ in football, i.e a player. Current systems proved to be somewhat disparate and offline with no software fit for purpose in professional football. The possibility of modernising and digitising the whole experience for football executives was established. It quickly became apparent by the addition of Jonathan Jackson (ex Wigan Athletic CEO) and Andy Gartside (Centrefield law and ex Bolton Wanderers COO) that an operating system around the player as an ‘Asset’ would be a benefit to professional football clubs. Andy and Phil’s experience of starting then selling The Sports Office has been critical in formulating a team of Software engineers and Client service personal including bringing in Chris Tuson (ex TSO) as Operations Director and Pete Gregory (Head of IT). Highly experienced in the SaaS world, the clubdna team understands the challenging and rapidly changing professional environment.
