Job Title: Intern: Financial Analyst (Winter 2026) Role Summary: Entry‑level finance internship focused on supporting daily cash applications, bank reconciliations, data‑driven reporting, and cross‑functional project collaboration within a financial services environment. Expectations: - Apply academic knowledge to real‑world financial processes. - Deliver accurate and timely work under guidance of senior analysts. - Engage with internal stakeholders, learn corporate finance systems, and contribute to automation initiatives. - Demonstrate analytical thinking, detail orientation, and strong communication. Key Responsibilities: - Process daily cash applications, post payments, manage NSF chargebacks, and code general ledger entries accurately. - Prepare and reconcile bank statements; support key accounting processes to maintain financial integrity. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather business requirements for projects and initiatives. - Attend and follow up on project meetings; document findings and action items. - Identify manual reporting pain points and propose automated, scalable solutions. - Contribute to business intelligence and data preparation using Excel, Power BI, and other data tools. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros). - Familiarity with Power Suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). - Basic SQL knowledge; experience in Oracle SQL beneficial. - Understanding of financial statement analysis concepts. - Strong written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across departments. - Detail‑oriented, organized, motivated to learn, and capable of problem‑solving.
