**Job Title**
QA Platform Engineer
**Role Summary**
Responsible for ensuring end‑to‑end quality of a multi‑service BI platform, covering backend services, data pipelines, and React front‑end. Designs, implements, and maintains automated and manual test plans, collaborates with cross‑functional teams to define acceptance criteria, and drives continuous improvement of QA processes and CI/CD integration.
**Expectations**
- Deliver test coverage for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across all product layers.
- Validate functional, usability, data accuracy, and regression across releases.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Contribute to a culture of quality with proactive defect prevention and automation expansion.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Own full‑stack testing (React, FastAPI/Python, Snowflake, PostgreSQL).
- Design & maintain comprehensive test plans, acceptance criteria, and release readiness reviews.
- Execute manual and automated tests: UI (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium), API (Postman, Pytest).
- Perform regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing across releases.
- Create and maintain test data in BI tools (PowerBi, Tableau, QlikSense, Sigma).
- Validate data correctness and transformations via Snowflake/PostgreSQL queries.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks for front‑end and API testing.
- Collaborate with engineers on microservices, connectors, and ingestion pipelines for stability and accuracy.
- Test UX/UI workflows across browsers and devices.
- Manage defect tracking in Jira/Notion.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and CI/CD integration.
**Required Skills**
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and release cycles.
- Hands‑on experience with frontend testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
- Proficiency in API testing and automation using Postman or Pytest.
- SQL querying and validation experience in Snowflake and PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of ETL processes, metadata validation, and data integrity testing.
- Familiarity with Docker, Airflow, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
- Experience with BI tools (PowerBi, Tableau, QlikSense, Sigma).
- Excellent debugging skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive mindset.
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 3–6 years of QA experience testing full‑stack web or SaaS applications.
