Job Description: Job Title: Junior Software Engineer (Part-Time Contractor / Intern) Role Summary Assist with backend and API development for a cyber range automation platform, utilizing DevOps, cloud, virtualization, and AI tools. Provide hands‑on support for infrastructure automation, feature implementation, and testing in a structured development environment. Expectations - 8–10 hours per week, part‑time contractor. - US‑based, full‑time remote work. - Demonstrated willingness to learn DevOps workflows, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity fundamentals. - Reliable internet connection and ability to collaborate virtually. Key Responsibilities - Develop and maintain backend services and APIs. - Configure and manage Docker containers and virtualized environments (e.g., Proxmox). - Use cloud platforms (AWS or similar) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible). - Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. - Apply industry best practices for secure, scalable software engineering. - Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.
