Communications Manager
**Role Summary**
Lead the development, production, and delivery of firm‑wide communications across all media. Manage content marketing campaigns, website updates, email newsletters, social media, podcasts, video, and brand‑consistent materials while collaborating with business development, lawyers, and external agencies.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality, deadline‑oriented content that aligns with brand guidelines.
- Maintain brand consistency across all communications and internal/external channels.
- Integrate seamlessly into the existing communications team and collaborate with cross‑functional partners.
- Demonstrate measurable impact through engagement metrics and positive stakeholder feedback.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Plan, create, edit, and publish diverse content: blogs, vlogs, podcasts, videos, legal briefs, reports, brochures, newsletters, and feature articles.
- Lead and execute marketing campaigns in partnership with BD, knowledge management, and ESG teams.
- Manage the firm’s website via CMS: update content, optimise for SEO, and ensure accurate keyword use.
- Operate and update email marketing platforms; craft newsletters and email copy.
- Leverage social media to promote content and engage professional audiences.
- Coordinate with external PR and design agencies: brief, review deliverables, and ensure brand adherence.
- Write talking points, press releases, comment pieces, and liaise with legal spokespeople for media outreach.
- Monitor all materials for compliance with brand guidelines and house style.
- Develop internal templates consistent with brand standards.
- Support digital marketing initiatives and coordinate with the head of digital marketing.
**Required Skills**
- Proven experience as a communications manager in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Proficiency in website CMS (e.g., SharePoint, WordPress) and email marketing systems (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
- Experience managing social media in a corporate context.
- Ability to produce podcasts and video content.
- Familiarity with SEO fundamentals and digital analytics.
- Project management and stakeholder coordination.
- Brand stewardship and design oversight.
- Effective communication with senior legal staff and external media.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Professional experience equivalent to a managerial role in communications within the legal or professional services sector is essential; specific certifications are not mandatory.
