Job Description

Job Title: Solutions Architect Role Summary: Design and deliver scalable digital services using Power Platform and Microsoft .NET within the UK public sector, ensuring adherence to government standards and central architecture governance. Expactations: Deliver architectural solutions that integrate with existing estate, maintain high documentation quality, secure approval from central architecture teams, and comply with public sector governance and security frameworks. Key Responsibilities: - Create end‑to‑end solution designs for new digital services. - Evaluate current technology, integrations, and data sources to inform architecture decisions. - Produce Architecture and Governance Plans that meet public sector standards. - Compile comprehensive documentation and facilitate review cycles with central architecture stakeholders. - Obtain sign‑off and formal approval for all architectural deliverables. Required Skills: - Proven experience designing and implementing solutions on Power Platform and Microsoft .NET. - Strong understanding of UK public sector or government digital standards (e.g., UK Data Strategy, GOV.UK Design System). - Expertise in architecture governance, documentation, and approval processes. - Ability to assess existing technology estates and propose scalable enhancements. - Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multi‑disciplinary teams and central architecture authorities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - Relevant certifications preferred, such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent public sector technology credentials.
