**Job Title** Business Development Specialist **Role Summary** Support the expansion of Taarih in the Paris market. Under the founder’s direction, represent the company at events, build a partner network, prospect target firms, manage early stage lead qualification, schedule meetings, maintain a simple CRM, produce weekly reports, and contribute to the development of commercial messaging. **Expectations** * Deliver weekly CRM updates and progress reports. * Attend meet‑ups, conferences, and trade shows to represent Taarih. * Establish and nurture relationships with incubators, entrepreneurs, and legal/foundational partners. * Generate and qualify leads among diaspora and SME clients. * Schedule and conduct outbound prospecting calls. * Collaborate in crafting pitches and sales communication. * Demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and a proactive approach to all tasks. **Key Responsibilities** * Represent Taarih at external events (meetings, exhibitions, conferences). * Create and expand a network of partners (incubators, entrepreneurs, law firms). * Perform targeted tele‑prospecting to companies within African diaspora networks and Parisian SMEs. * Qualify inbound/outbound leads and book appointments. * Log activities and update the CRM; provide concise weekly reports. * Support the creation of commercial arguments, pitch decks, and messaging. **Required Skills** * Excellent oral communication and persuasive speaking. * Strong telephone prospecting and lead qualification ability. * Skilled in networking and building professional relationships. * Autonomous, energetic, and self‑motivated. * Familiarity with LinkedIn, basic CRM platforms, Slack, and Google Workspace. * Interest in technology, fintech, and African entrepreneurship. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, or a related discipline (preferred). * No specific certifications required; on‑the‑job training for CRM tools will be provided.
