Job Description
**Job Title** Financial Systems Analyst **Role Summary** Bridge finance and technology by configuring, implementing, and supporting Odoo ERP systems for clients. Translate financial requirements into system workflows, ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards, and deliver high‑quality financial data and reporting. **Expectations** - Deliver accurate, compliant financial setups and reports. - Maintain Odoo certification and stay current with platform updates. - Work independently across multiple client engagements and meet deadlines. - Provide effective training and post‑go‑live support to finance stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** - Configure Chart of Accounts, fiscal periods, tax rules (GST/HST/PST), and closing processes. - Set up inter‑company transactions, multi‑currency handling, and consolidated reporting. - Map ERP modules to external systems (e.g., Shopify, POS, payment platforms). - Lead discovery workshops, gather requirements, and design financial workflows. - Configure and test Odoo accounting, sales, purchase, inventory, and manufacturing modules. - Troubleshoot valuation, posting, and tax mapping issues. - Migrate and validate legacy data (Journals, Trial Balances, AR/AP, opening entries). - Build custom financial dashboards (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, analytical reports). - Diagnose and resolve posting errors; suggest best‑practice workflows. - Deliver training sessions to client finance teams. - Ensure compliance with Canadian GAAP, CRA regulations, and audit readiness. - Support go‑live events, physical inventories, and month‑end closings as required. **Required Skills** - 2–5 yrs accounting experience (AR/AP, GL, reconciliations, statements). - Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles, tax rules, and CRA compliance. - 1–3 yrs ERP experience (Odoo preferred; SAP/NetSuite/D365 acceptable). - Ability to translate accounting needs into ERP configuration. - Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data analysis. - Excellent communication and client‑facing capabilities. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and multi‑tasking skills. **Nice to Have** - CPA designation or CPA modules. - Experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or e‑commerce. - Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon integrations, EDI, payroll connectors, or multi‑company setups. - Prior consulting or client‑facing role. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. - Odoo certification (must be maintained). - CPA designation or modules (optional).
