Job Description

**Job Title** Senior Backend Engineer – Geth **Role Summary** Lead design, implementation, and optimization of high‑performance backend services for blockchain data ingestion and real‑time transaction analytics. Work closely with distributed teams to extend Geth functionality, build scalable APIs, and enhance observability across large‑scale data pipelines. **Expectations** - Deliver reliable, low‑latency services for Ethereum mempool and transaction data. - Extend and maintain Geth core node functionality to support advanced analytics. - Drive performance, scalability, and fault‑tolerance of distributed systems. - Collaborate across engineering, product, and research organizations. **Key Responsibilities** - Design architecture and implement backend components for mempool ingestion, transaction processing, and visualization. - Integrate and extend Geth, contributing to Ethereum node internals. - Develop and expose REST/GraphQL APIs for real‑time transaction insight. - Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability for high‑volume data streams. - Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and continuous integration pipelines. - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. - Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to align on research, product, and infrastructure objectives. **Required Skills** - Deep expertise in Geth and Ethereum internals (P2P protocols, transaction propagation, consensus). - Proficiency in Go or Rust (preferred); systems‑level programming experience. - Experience designing distributed backend systems and data pipelines. - Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, and logging practices. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). - Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills. - Ability to write clean, maintainable code and adhere to engineering best practices. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience acceptable). - No mandatory certifications required.
