Job Description
Job Title: IT Security Analyst Role Summary: Provide proactive support of enterprise cyber‑security platforms, monitor and remediate threats, manage vulnerability and patching programs, and contribute to incident response and security policy development within an infrastructure team. Expectations: Maintain a ticket queue for security alerts, collaborate with infrastructure engineers, implement security controls, analyze incident trends, and document solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Support and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, malware protection, URL filtering, and disaster recovery solutions. - Operate vulnerability management platform and conduct workstation patching. - Investigate security breaches and assist with incident response. - Develop, review, and maintain information‑security plans and policies. - Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and migrations for security infrastructure. - Evaluate incident resolutions, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures. - Provide security education and phishing awareness training to staff. - Document procedures, incident reports, and configuration changes. Required Skills: - Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication, including clear documentation. - Attention to detail and disciplined documentation practices. - Team‑oriented and able to collaborate across departments. - Proficiency with antivirus, intrusion detection, firewall, and content filtering tools. - Understanding of enterprise patch management, social‑engineering defenses, and core security principles. Required Education & Certifications: - 2+ years of infrastructure engineering (network or systems) experience. - Associates degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field (preferred). - CISSP or CCNA Security certification (preferred).
