Job Description

**Job Title** Lead Cloud Security Engineer (Wiz & Azure) **Role Summary** Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of cloud security operations across Azure environments, leveraging Wiz for vulnerability management and policy enforcement. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and client-facing strategy to align security posture with business objectives. **Expectations** - 10+ years of cloud security experience, including ≥2 years in a leadership or architect role. - Proven ability to manage and secure enterprise Azure workloads and to develop and enforce Wiz security policies, including run‑time controls, Cloud Construction Rules, and custom Rego policies. - Comfortable working remotely with West Coast hours and collaborating with C‑level executives. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Design, implement, and monitor Azure security controls using Wiz. 2. Identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps. 3. Provide hands‑on guidance, code reviews, and architectural oversight for cloud security initiatives. 4. Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering continuous learning. 5. Partner with clients and executive stakeholders to align security strategy with business goals. 6. Deliver actionable security posture reports and metrics to technical and non‑technical audiences. 7. Stay abreast of emerging threats, tools, and best practices, driving innovation in security capabilities. **Required Skills** - Deep expertise in Azure Cloud Services (compute, databases, storage, networking, application platforms). - Advanced knowledge of Wiz: policy creation, Graph Query, Rego, and runtime controls. - Experience with Terraform IaC deployments; GitHub version control and collaboration in cloud environments. - Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat modeling, and vulnerability management. - Familiarity with CrowdStrike EDR (bonus). - Excellent communication skills for client and executive engagement. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field *or* equivalent professional experience. - Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or equivalent are highly desirable.
