Job Description
**Job Title** Senior Java EE Developer **Role Summary** Lead design, development, and modernization of enterprise Java EE applications, focusing on legacy refactoring for cloud migration, AI-assisted code analysis, and secure DevSecOps practices. **Expectations** - Must be a local Austin, TX candidate. - 2 days remote, 3 days onsite (Mon, Tue, Thu). - Minimum 15 years of Java/Java EE experience; 8 years with AI code analysis, DevSecOps. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect, code, and maintain Java EE services (EJB, JPA, SOAP). - Analyze legacy codebases, define transformation strategies for cloud platforms. - Apply AI-driven static analysis tools for code quality, pattern recognition, and risk assessment. - Develop, automate, and enforce DevSecOps pipelines (CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, monitoring). - Deliver production-ready, containerized applications on enterprise-grade servers. - Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and security hardening. **Required Skills** - Java SE 1.8 and Java EE 8 proficiency. - Expertise with EJB, JPA, SOAP web services. - Experience deploying on enterprise application servers (WebLogic, GlassFish, WildFly). - Strong knowledge of cloud migration best practices. - Hands‑on with AI code analysis platforms (static analysis, pattern detection). - Deep understanding of DevSecOps practices, automated testing, CI/CD, containerization, monitoring tools. - Excellent debugging, problem‑solving, and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 8 Programmer (optional). - Relevant certifications in cloud, DevSecOps, or application security (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) preferred.
