Job Description
Job title: Security Engineer Role Summary: Drives the end‑to‑end implementation, configuration, and support of electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, entryphones, intruder alarms). Works closely with clients across commercial, residential, retail, and industrial sectors to deploy solutions, perform maintenance, and respond to ad‑hoc incidents. Expactations: Expect on‑site installation and repair duties, troubleshooting of system faults, proactive system monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Must be a self‑starter who can work independently while meeting tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and test security hardware and software according to specifications. - Diagnose and resolve issues with cameras, control panels, alarms, and network components. - Conduct preventive maintenance, firmware updates, and performance tuning. - Respond to on‑call service requests and emergency outages. - Document system designs, fault logs, and maintenance activities. - Coordinate with site managers, clients, and internal IT staff. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality procedures. Required Skills: - Hands‑on experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and related systems. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, diverse environment. - Effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Required Education & Certifications: - 3+ years of professional experience in the security industry. - Active ECS or CSCS certification. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent computer literacy. - Valid full driver’s licence and regular driving experience (preferred).
