Job Description

**Job Title** Network Security Design Engineer **Role Summary** Design and implement secure, scalable network solutions for roadside and intelligent transportation systems. Deliver high‑performance connectivity while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal ITSM policies. Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and optimization of network security infrastructure, including firewalls and network segmentation. **Expectations** - Minimum 5 years of experience managing NGFW platforms (Palo Alto Networks, Panorama preferred). - Proven automation of security tasks and identification of automation use cases. - Familiarity with container‑based networking security (Kubernetes) and related controls. - Knowledge of Cisco network fabrics, ACI, NX‑OS, IOS‑XE. - Exposure to industrial control or intelligent transportation systems. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Develop secure network architecture designs addressing technical challenges. 2. Deploy and configure NGFWs, firewalls, and segmentation policies with minimal service impact. 3. Maintain and troubleshoot network security components, ensuring optimal performance. 4. Manage firewall rules, security policies, and compliance with organizational standards. 5. Document network designs, procedures, and incident responses. 6. Align network activities with ITSM policies for incident, request, and change management. 7. Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to support project objectives. **Required Skills** - NGFW configuration, Palo Alto Networks, Panorama. - Scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, or similar). - Container security in Kubernetes environments. - Cisco ACI, NX‑OS, IOS‑XE knowledge; network segmentation. - Industrial control system security fundamentals. - Analytical problem‑solving and system design. - Clear communication and documentation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field. - Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent. - Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional (CCNA/CCNP) with emphasis on security and data center. - Additional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
