Job Description
Job title: Intern – Methods / Industrial Engineering Role Summary: Assist the Methods Team on a modern manufacturing site focused on plastic injection molding and medical device assembly. Activities include developing an AutoCAD part library, updating shop drawings, contributing to a continuous improvement project, and supporting technical documentation. Expectations: - Apply mechanical and product engineering knowledge to real‑world production processes. - Deliver high‑quality drawings, analyses, and documentation in a structured, autonomous manner. - Engage directly with Methods and Technical Services teams, demonstrating initiative and technical curiosity. Key Responsibilities: - Create and maintain a library of AutoCAD blocks for installation plans. - Update and revise shop floor drawings and documentation. - Contribute to a scheduled continuous improvement initiative (2026) involving process review and implementation. - Provide ad‑hoc support for miscellaneous tasks (field measurements, technical document formatting, data analysis) as needed. Required Skills: - Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drafting tools. - Structured, rigorous work approach with ability to work independently. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Interest in industrial environments and eagerness to learn on the job. Required Education & Certifications: - Current student in Bachelors of Technology (BUT) Mechanical Engineering & Productive Engineering, or equivalent industrial engineering program. - No specific certifications required.
