Job Description
Job title: Business Systems Administrator Role Summary: Provide administrative and operational support for the organization’s business applications and systems, ensuring high availability, security, and user productivity. Expectations: * Proactive, detail‑oriented, and resilient in managing system tasks and troubleshooting issues. * Strong stakeholder communication and collaborative approach within the IT team and business units. Key Responsibilities: * Administer and maintain business-critical applications (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.). * Create, modify, and retire user accounts, access permissions, and security groups. * Monitor system performance, generate usage and error reports, and schedule routine maintenance. * Coordinate backups, data integrity checks, and restoration procedures. * Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues within defined SLAs. * Document system configurations, procedures, and change logs in a centralized knowledge base. * Participate in project planning for system upgrades, patches, and new deployments. * Provide end‑user support and training on application functionalities and best practices. Required Skills: * System administration fundamentals (Windows/Linux). * Experience with business application platforms (e.g., ERP/CRM). * Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Familiarity with ITIL or similar service‑management frameworks. * Knowledge of security best practices and data protection regulations. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. * Professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation) preferred.
