**Job Title**
Manager, Institutional Partnerships
**Role Summary**
Lead the development and execution of CIVIC’s institutional partnership strategy, focusing on government, EU, and multilateral donors. Drive capture planning, proposal development, contract negotiation, and donor engagement to secure grants and core funding in support of humanitarian and peacebuilding programs.
**Expactations**
- Partner with the Director to design and implement the business‑development roadmap.
- Build and manage long‑term relationships with key public donors and multilateral bodies.
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue funding opportunities across EU, pooled funds, and emerging ODA donors.
- Ensure timely and high‑quality proposal submission, maintaining alignment with donor requirements and internal processes.
- Negotiate contracts and provide expert guidance on terms, conditions, and compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct research and analysis of target institutions, political and funding trends.
- Develop and maintain a systematic process for scanning and prioritizing grant opportunities.
- Lead proactive capture planning and coordinate cross‑functional proposal development (program, finance, legal).
- Draft, edit, and finalize proposals; secure executive buy‑in and meet deadlines.
- Negotiate and finalize award agreements; advise internal stakeholders on contractual implications.
- Manage donor relations, including communication strategy, event coordination, and regular updates.
- Mentor colleagues in proposal writing, donor mapping, and business‑development best practices.
- Maintain accurate donor data and intelligence in Salesforce and other platforms.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in institutional partnership, grant‑making, and donor engagement in humanitarian, stabilization, and peacebuilding sectors.
- Proven track record of securing multi‑million‑dollar awards from EU, pooled donor funds, and public donors.
- Strong analytical, strategic‑thinking, and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce high‑impact proposals.
- Advanced negotiation and contract‑management capabilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and across diverse teams and geographies.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional certifications in fundraising, project management, or related disciplines are an advantage.
