Job Title: Founding Visual Designer
Role Summary:
Lead the visual strategy and brand system for a high-growth SaaS startup, defining typography, color, iconography, photography, motion, and overall visual language across digital, print, and experiential assets. Own end‑to‑end brand execution—from high‑impact marketing campaigns to internal culture collateral—and drive consistency while encouraging innovative, bold design solutions.
Expectations:
- Deliver a cohesive, scalable visual identity that becomes instantly recognizable within one year.
- Own the visual vision, make decisive design choices, and justify them with clear reasoning.
- Iterate quickly, embrace feedback, and maintain a strong sense of ownership over lasting design outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and document the core visual system (typography, color palette, icon set, photography style, motion guidelines).
- Evolve brand system to support growth while preserving distinctiveness.
- Design and produce high‑impact campaign materials (presentations, web pages, decks, event visuals, booth graphics).
- Create illustrations, graphics, and visual content for social media, web, and internal communications.
- Design company swag, cultural assets, and recruitment materials to strengthen brand perception internally.
Required Skills:
- Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (or Affinity Designer).
- Deep knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, and visual composition.
- Proven portfolio demonstrating brand or campaign work with clear visual direction ownership.
- Ability to design across digital and print mediums.
- Strong communication skills: articulate design decisions, persuade stakeholders, and defend creative choices.
- Creative confidence: willingness to break conventions, iterate rapidly, and push for excellence.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
