Job Description
Job title: Indirect Buyer Role Summary: Strategic procurement professional responsible for managing indirect spend categories, driving cost efficiency, supplier performance and compliance through end‑to‑end sourcing, contract negotiation and portfolio optimization. Expactations: Deliver measurable cost savings, sustainable sourcing strategies and high‑quality supplier performance, while acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and embodying business‑driven, analytical, and collaborative excellence. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business and sustainability objectives. • Lead end‑to‑end RFx processes: market analysis, supplier selection, contract drafting, award and implementation. • Negotiate terms, manage contracts and ensure alignment with corporate policies. • Monitor supplier performance, enforce KPIs, mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement. • Analyse total cost of ownership and provide insights for cost optimisation. • Track market trends, innovations and best practices to inform procurement strategy. • Enhance procurement tools, processes and ways of working for greater efficiency. Required Skills: • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in cost analysis, supplier evaluation and TCO modelling. • Proven sourcing methodology knowledge and independent RFx project management. • Excellent stakeholder management, partnership‑building and communication skills. • Effective negotiation, contract management and risk mitigation. • Collaborative, proactive approach with sustainability focus. • Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is advantageous. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics or related field. • Relevant procurement certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, PMP) preferred but not mandatory.
