Job Description
Job Title: Area Cleaning Supervisor Role Summary: Lead and oversee cleaning operations across multiple client sites, ensuring consistent compliance with contract standards, managing operatives, and serving as the primary liaison for clients and staff. Expectations: Maintain high cleaning standards, manage staff schedules, conduct inspections, and uphold health & safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise cleaning teams at multiple locations, ensuring sites meet contractual criteria. - Plan, allocate, and monitor staff rosters, covering absences and holidays. - Perform regular site inspections and quality audits. - Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of cleaning operatives. - Manage inventory of cleaning materials and equipment, placing orders as needed. - Enforce Health & Safety, COSHH, and company policies. - Liaise with clients to maintain relationships and resolve issues promptly. - Complete and submit timesheets, reports, and other documentation. Required Skills: - Proven supervisory experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance, ideally across multiple sites. - Strong leadership, communication, and organisational abilities. - Attention to detail and commitment to high standards. - Proficiency with mobile devices for scheduling and reporting. - Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and split shifts as required. Required Education & Certifications: - Full UK driving licence (required for company vehicle use). - Basic understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and relevant cleaning regulations. - Relevant DBS check (employer‑paid) is mandatory.
