Job Title: Business Development Executive Role Summary: Proactive Business Development Executive supporting the BD Manager to execute strategic growth initiatives, deliver annual BD plans, and manage fee quote/ proposal processes, prospect research, marketing communications, and event coordination for a professional services organization. Expectations: • Consistently meet proposal deadlines and maintain quality, compelling responses. • Accurately manage prospect and activity databases, ensuring up‑to‑date records. • Demonstrate strong analytical and creative skills in proposal, marketing, and event work. • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and external experts to identify cross‑selling opportunities. • Uphold professional brand standards across all communications and events. Key Responsibilities: 1. Assist BD Manager in developing and executing the annual business development plan. 2. Coordinate the fee quote lifecycle: receive inquiries, draft responses, and submit bids. 3. Create and maintain templates for FAQs, fee quotes, and proposal responses. 4. Produce compelling interview‑stage presentation materials. 5. Track wins/losses, analyse outcomes, and provide improvement insights. 6. Maintain and enrich prospect databases; conduct in‑depth research on target accounts. 7. Monitor competitor activity and market positioning. 8. Facilitate outreach to legal networks and schedule visits for business leaders and experts. 9. Identify cross‑selling opportunities across group departments and support inter‑departmental initiatives. 10. Draft, edit, and maintain marketing collateral (digital and print) aligned with brand guidelines. 11. Plan attendance at industry events, manage logistics, and execute follow‑up engagement. Required Skills: • Strong organisational and project‑management abilities. • Excellent written and verbal communication; persuasive proposal writing. • Proficiency in CRM/database management and research tools. • Creative thinking for marketing content and event concepts. • Analytical acumen to evaluate wins/losses and market trends. • Collaborative mindset for cross‑functional coordination. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree (preferred fields: business, marketing, communications, or related). • Additional qualifications in marketing, communications, or business development are a plus. • At least 3 years of B2B/professional services business development, sales, or client‑support/account‑management experience.
