Job Description
**Job title** Mechanical Engineer **Role Summary** Design and develop fabrication‑ready mechanical systems for industrial desalination and lithium refining equipment. Translate process design into code‑compliant, manufacturable assemblies using SolidWorks, ensuring mechanical integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, maintain design standards, and support production troubleshooting. **Expectations** - Detail‑oriented, self‑driven problem solver. - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects. - Willingness to engage in hands‑on manufacturing support and occasional site visits across North America. **Key Responsibilities** - Convert process designs into detailed CAD models and fabrication drawings (GD&T compliant). - Use SolidWorks for routing, large assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, and PDM integration. - Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews to meet performance, safety, and compliance goals. - Maintain CAD database, design standards, and documentation integrity. - Provide build‑ready documentation and assist with shop‑floor or site troubleshooting. - Own the mechanical integrity and performance of assigned designs from concept through production. - Review piping P&IDs and apply relevant codes (ASME B31.3, BPVC, CSA B51‑14). **Required Skills** - Proficiency in SolidWorks (routing, large assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, drawings). - Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Aras Innovator) and ERP integration. - Understanding of industrial plant design and concurrent engineering practices. - Knowledge of piping codes and standards applicable to chemical and process industries. - Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Integrated Engineering. - 1–3 years post‑graduation relevant engineering experience. - Registration as an Engineer-in‑Training (EIT) through EGBC or equivalent Canadian engineering regulator. ---
