In 2021, Neil Woodley joined the business to play a pivotal part in the rebranding to Three Bridges Recruitment. James and Neil are specialists in accountancy and finance recruitment. They have collectively worked in the industry for 30 years. They have a strong track record of working together, building a great partnership which complements each other's individual strengths. Both James and Neil work on every vacancy, thereby providing an excellent service as well as a more balanced point of view. They both live and work in South Queensferry and have children that keep them busy. They both completed the 2021 London Marathon.

Job Description
**Job Title:** Finance Business Partner **Role Summary:** Partner with senior leaders and departmental managers to drive financial strategy and operational excellence. Provide analytical insights, scenario modelling, cost optimisation, and compliance support for one of the organisation’s largest budgets. Facilitate budgeting, reporting, audit preparation, and policy development while strengthening cross‑functional financial relationships. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, actionable financial advice to support growth and efficiency. - Maintain and enhance finance systems, models, and policies in alignment with regulatory requirements. - Build trustful relationships across the business to understand and meet departmental financial needs. - Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects that shape the organisation’s financial direction. **Key Responsibilities:** - Advise leadership on financial targets, priorities, and growth opportunities. - Create scenario models, conduct cost analysis, and provide insights for new business decisions. - Analyse financial data, performance metrics, and trends; recommend improvements. - Maintain and reconcile insurance claim records, and support annual renewal processes. - Oversee creditor payments, debtor receipts, reconciliations, accruals, and pre‑payments. - Support fixed‑asset maintenance and prepare journals for property transactions. - Administer and optimise finance systems and financial models. - Draft, review, and update finance policies to meet regulatory and organisational standards. - Assist with annual budgeting, audit preparation, and overall financial compliance. - Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses. - Drive and contribute to finance projects across the organisation. **Required Skills:** - Qualified accountant status (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) or comparable experience. - Strong reporting, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. - High accuracy, commercial awareness, and sound judgment. - Proficiency in financial regulations, VAT, and data protection compliance. - Excellent communication, proactive mindset, and partnership‑driven approach. - Ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organisation. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) or equivalent professional experience.
