Job title: IT Manager
Role Summary:
Lead the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT infrastructure and cybersecurity posture. Oversee security operations, cloud environments, network management, and policy governance to ensure reliable, compliant, and secure digital operations.
Expactations:
• Deliver a secure, scalable, and compliant IT environment aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high availability of cloud and on‑premise services, manage budgets, and negotiate vendor contracts.
• Lead incident response and risk mitigation efforts while promoting a culture of security awareness across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee network protection, threat monitoring, vulnerability assessments, incident response, and penetration testing.
- Administer Azure and AWS environments, ensuring uptime, scalability, and data governance compliance.
- Plan capacity for cloud, storage, network, and internet resources to maintain a scalable infrastructure.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication, enforcing least‑privilege principles.
- Create, maintain, and enforce IT policies (cybersecurity, data retention, acceptable use, disaster recovery).
- Conduct audits, reviews, and awareness initiatives to govern IT policies.
- Negotiate with vendors, manage hardware/software procurement, installation, maintenance, and licensing.
- Optimize network infrastructure (Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls, routers, switches).
- Coordinate backup and disaster recovery plans to guarantee business continuity.
- Lead risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor cyber threats.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
- Support staff training on cybersecurity and IT system use.
- Prepare and present performance and security posture reports to leadership.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of IT management, network administration, or cybersecurity leadership.
- In‑depth knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and similar frameworks.
- Proven experience with Azure and/or AWS architecture and operations.
- Strong networking, operating system, and server management expertise.
- Hands‑on with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes) – asset.
- Policy development, implementation, and governance experience.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize mission‑critical tasks and manage distributed teams.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Optional certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCNA/CCNP, AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
