Job Description
Job title: Commercial Agent – Automotive (Independent Contractor) Role Summary: An independent commercial agent responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and selling used vehicles while nurturing client relationships and expanding the company’s retail and consignments portfolio. Operates autonomously with full scheduling freedom, earning a fully commission-based income tied to performance. Expectations: • Maintain a self‑managed client pipeline and achieve a sustained volume of new consignments and sales. • Deliver high‑quality service, forging long‑term client trust and repeat business. • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue and sales targets set by senior management. Key Responsibilities: - Greet and guide clients through buying or selling processes for used cars. - Proactively prospect new mandates via phone, in‑person visits, and networking. - Build, monitor, and grow a personal customer portfolio. - Conduct on‑site vehicle appraisals, assessing condition, market value, and title status. - Close sales transactions, ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy. - Upsell ancillary offerings such as warranties, financing solutions, and cosmetic preparation services. Required Skills: - Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities. - Self‑motivation, discipline, and a results‑oriented mindset. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Basic automotive knowledge; prior experience in sales or automotive service preferred. - Proficiency with digital tools and customer relationship management systems. Required Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid Driver’s License (Class B) required. - Completion of the company’s commercial sales training program.
