**Job Title:** Construction Project Manager – Energy Storage
**Role Summary:**
Lead delivery of a portfolio of UK energy‑storage projects, overseeing construction execution, engineering oversight, procurement, commercial management, commissioning, and handover while ensuring compliance with UK CDM, HSE, and regulatory standards.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver multi‑site projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Coordinate EPCs, suppliers, and internal teams across civil, electrical, and control disciplines.
- Maintain portfolio‑level cost control, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage construction execution and logistics across multiple sites.
- Ensure UK CDM and HSE compliance, including risk assessments and health & safety plans.
- Coordinate interface management between EPC contractors, suppliers, and site teams.
- Review engineering for constructability, operability, and cost‑effectiveness.
- Ensure designs meet grid connection, environmental, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with procurement to standardize major equipment packages and drive cost efficiencies.
- Monitor procurement lifecycle, participate in FATs, and conduct supplier inspections.
- Manage EPC and OEM contracts, variations, claims, and contractual performance.
- Oversee budgeting, cost forecasting, milestone reporting, and funding compliance.
- Lead commissioning, performance testing, and commissioning documentation.
- Transition construction to operations, capturing lessons learned for future phases.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years in large‑scale construction within energy, utilities, or renewables.
- Deep knowledge of UK CDM regulations and HSE practices.
- Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary project teams and contractor management.
- Experience with energy storage, grid‑scale electrical infrastructure, or renewable generation.
- Strong procurement, vendor management, and commissioning expertise.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze cost data, forecast budgets, and report to stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Degree in engineering or construction management (Chartered Engineer preferred).
- Project management certification (APM, PMP, or equivalent).
