Job Description
**Job title:** Consultant Junior Accountant (H/F) **Role summary:** Provide financial and regulatory advisory support to clients in the financial sector, focusing on asset‑management, IFRS compliance, and system integration. Act as a bridge between accounting/finance teams and IT, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with evolving standards, and effective execution of client projects. **Expectations:** - Contribute to accurate, timely production of French GAAP and IFRS financial statements. - Drive application of regulatory changes (IFRS 9, IFRS 17, Solvency II, Basel III v2, etc.) to client systems. - Participate in cross‑functional project teams to analyse requirements, define deliverables, and deliver tested solutions. - Collaborate with senior consultants, engineers, and client stakeholders to meet project objectives and timelines. **Key responsibilities:** 1. **Financial close & reporting** - Assist in French GAAP and IFRS (IAS 39, IFRS 9) closing work, inventory accounting, and investment accounting. - Produce regulatory reports (FINREP, SURFI, COREP, LCR, NSFR, Solvency ratios). - Build and maintain dashboards, projected indicators, and budget monitoring tools. 2. **Regulatory implementation** - Analyze impacts of regulatory updates on strategy, systems, and operations. - Execute changes in client tools, ensuring compliance and efficient processes. 3. **Process optimization & documentation** - Identify and improve reporting and budgeting processes. - Draft user guides and support materials. 4. **Project involvement** - Capture business requirements, author functional specifications and test plans. - Define acceptance criteria, conduct end‑to‑end functional testing and integration tests. - Plan data migrations and cut‑over activities. **Required skills:** - Strong grasp of financial accounting, valuation of financial instruments, and insurance‑specific calculations. - Proficiency in French GAAP and IFRS standards, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks (Solvency II, IFRS 9/17, Basel III). - Advanced Excel and VBA; proficient with MS Office suite. - Familiarity with accounting systems: SAP, SAGE (1000/XRT), Oracle Cloud, Axway, NetSuite. - Exposure to asset‑management platforms (Chorus, SimCorp Dimension, GP3), consolidation tools (SAP BFC), and treasury solutions (KYRIBA, EXABANQUE) is advantageous. - Professional English (written and spoken). - Analytical mindset, adaptability, teamwork orientation, and strong communication. **Required education & certifications:** - Current enrollment or possession of a BAC +5 degree in accounting, finance, or project management (e.g., Master, CFA, or DSCG). - Demonstrated experience in asset‑management accounting or IFRS regulatory projects is preferred.
