Head of Fixed Income
**Role Summary**
Lead the fixed‑income strategy for a large pension asset pool, shaping investment direction, culture, and responsible investment integration. Oversee portfolio performance, risk management, and operational execution while aligning with partner fund objectives and regulatory requirements.
**Expectations**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Own the fixed‑income offering: review assets, create business cases for changes, and assess insourcing/outsourcing options.
- Drive performance and risk‑adjusted return, supporting pooled sub‑fund launches.
- Integrate responsible investment principles into all investment processes.
- Serve on the Investment Committee, approving new products, changes, and retirements.
- Develop transparent, repeatable investment processes in partnership with CIO and other heads.
- Implement risk and compliance controls under the Risk & Compliance Framework.
- Oversee existing and new fixed‑income portfolios with portfolio managers and directors.
- Manage origination, due diligence, legal review, execution, and post‑execution monitoring of ACS and Segregated Fund investments.
- Ensure efficient capital, expense calls, and fund‑related expense processing with Finance and Operations.
- Analyze ESG risks for all fixed‑income fund vehicles.
- Advise on portfolio consolidations, secondary sales, and external manager relations.
- Represent the fund on investor advisory boards.
- Lead development, launch, and management of new fixed‑income funds, including investor negotiations, mandate specification, business case creation, legal setup, and IT controls.
**Required Skills**
- Strategic leadership in fixed‑income asset management.
- Expertise in portfolio construction, performance evaluation, and risk management.
- Strong analytical, due diligence, and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of ESG and responsible investment integration.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, compliance, and governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent is highly desirable.
