Job Title: Tech Lead data
Job Description: **Job Title** Tech Lead Data **Role Summary** Lead and architect a high‑performance, scalable data platform for a large gaming and sports‑betting organization. Guide two squads (≈10 Data Engineers) in designing, building, and optimizing end‑to‑end data pipelines and infrastructure. **Expectations** - Deliver robust, cloud‑native data solutions that support real‑time and batch workloads. - Champion best practices, continuous improvement, and FinOps principles across the platform. - Serve as the technical authority, mentoring the engineering teams and fostering cross‑functional collaboration. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and evolve distributed data pipelines using Spark (Scala) and SQL on AWS (EMR, S3, EKS, Lambda). - Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD) with Terraform and Ansible automation. - Optimize platform performance, cost, and reliability; implement monitoring, alerting, and testing frameworks. - Engage with Data Science, BI, and Infra teams to align data solutions with business goals. - Lead squad activities, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions. **Required Skills** - 8+ years of experience building large‑scale data platforms. - Proficiency in Spark (Scala), SQL, and AWS services (S3, EMR, EKS, Lambda). - Expertise in IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD). - Strong understanding of real‑time and distributed architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.). - Leadership, mentoring, and collaborative communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, or equivalent.
