Job Description
**Job Title** Financial Business Analyst **Role Summary** Contracted Financial Business Analyst responsible for managing the credit card balance sheet, net interest income, and non‑interest income forecast and reporting processes. Oversees month‑end close, financial modeling, regulatory and industry reporting, and business intelligence for a credit card portfolio. **Expactations** - 6+ month contract, 4 days a week onsite in Newark, DE. - Deliver all month‑end close deliverables (accruals, KPIs, variance templates) on time, accurately. - Compile regulatory reports (QMR, CCAR, Auriemma, Nilson, Interagency, ALCO). - Maintain and update balance‑sheet forecast models, vintage analysis, and profitability metrics. **Key Responsibilities** - Manage month‑end close for credit‑card balance sheet, estimate preliminary results, and communicate findings. - Build, maintain, and validate financial models to forecast balances, net interest income, and non‑interest income. - Produce MBR deck materials and product‑board presentation supporting strategic decisions. - Deliver regulatory industry reports (QMR, CCAR, etc.) and ensure compliance. - Update vintage balance model by card product and support monthly forecast cycles. - Refresh finance‑unit cost views and evaluate profitability. - Generate weekly new‑account reports for the Weekly Loan Optimization deck. - Maintain Mastercard account tracker to monitor funding for initiatives. - Compile quarterly competitor intelligence with qualitative commentary for senior leadership. **Required Skills** - Advanced analytical and quantitative skills. - Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VBA) and data‑analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL). - Strong financial modeling and forecasting expertise. - Knowledge of credit‑card industry regulations (CCAR, QMR, etc.). - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear narrative for executives. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. - 5+ years of financial analysis experience in credit or banking environment preferred. - Certified Professional (CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent) a plus.
