Job Description: **Job title:** Investment Principal **Role Summary:** A full‑stack investment professional who sources, evaluates, and closes seed‑stage deals, builds deep relationships with founders and the local startup ecosystem, and represents the firm’s brand in the Bay Area. **Expectations:** • 5+ years in fast‑paced analytical roles (startup, accelerator, VC, banking) • High analytical rigor and curiosity in ambiguous, early‑stage contexts • Proven community/relationship builder with top‑tier networking • “Yes‑and” team player who pushes peers to accelerate performance • Strong written and verbal communication • Availability for late nights, weekends, and on‑site events; must be located in San Francisco to engage with the ecosystem **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify high‑potential seed opportunities centered on emerging technology trends. - Build and maintain a robust pipeline through founders, investors, and accelerators. - Conduct thorough due diligence, prepare investment memoranda, and manage deals end‑to‑end. - Attend and host local events to elevate the firm’s brand and attract top founders. - Support portfolio companies with connections and ongoing advisory. - Collaborate closely with General Partners and the investment team on strategy and execution. **Required Skills:** - Analytical thinking and rigorous assessment of ambiguous opportunities. - Strong research, financial modeling, and valuation capabilities. - Exceptional written and oral communication, including pitch deck and memo writing. - Relationship‑management expertise; active networking in the SF startup community. - Event planning and facilitation skills. - Proactive, low‑ego, high‑standard demeanor. - Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high‑pressure environment. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, STEM, or a closely related discipline. - No specific certifications required; financial modeling, VC coursework, or related experience is a plus.
