Job Description

Job Title: Finance Data Analyst Role Summary: Develop and maintain financial and operational BI dashboards, merge operational data into financial models, and provide real‑time insights to finance, product, and operations teams to drive profitability and cost efficiency. Expactations: 5+ years experience in BI, financial analysis, or data analytics; advanced SQL skills (including dbt); proficiency with Looker/LookML; strong understanding of financial statements and cost allocation; ability to develop automated reports and conduct variance analysis. Key Responsibilities: • Create and update central financial/operational dashboards tracking cost per parcel, vehicle utilisation, contribution margin, and regional performance. • Collaborate with finance and data engineering to close data gaps and ensure accurate integration of operational data into financial reporting. • Automate reporting workflows for management and operational stakeholders to support real‑time decision making. • Perform variance and trend analyses across routes, depots, and customers to uncover profit improvement opportunities. • Build and maintain high‑level financial data models (using dbt) aligned with financial mappings. Required Skills: • SQL (advanced, including dbt), Python (Pandas), Git version control. • BI tools: Looker, Looker Studio, LookML; experience in data modeling and dashboard design. • End‑to‑end data flow knowledge, data lake/warehouse proficiency (BigQuery, Iceberg, BigLake). • Strong analytical mindset, detail orientation, and ability to translate complex data for non‑technical audiences. Required Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Business, or a related discipline.
