Job Description
Job Title: Automation Engineer (F/M) Role Summary Design, develop, integrate, and maintain industrial automation applications for PLC and HMI systems. Execute functional and technical analysis, coding, testing, electrical schematic design, commissioning, and client support within a Siemens environment. Expectations - Proficient in industrial programming languages and Siemens automation systems. - Skilled in electrical schematic creation, CAD/CAE, and simulation tools. - Strong analytical, synthesis, troubleshooting, and client‑oriented communication skills. Key Responsibilities - Develop and integrate PLC/HMI topologies and networking for manufacturing processes. - Perform functional analysis, technical design, and coding of automation programs. - Test programs, validate solutions, and update applications as needed. - Create, update, and review electrical schematics and equipment layout plans. - Draft user manuals and operational instructions for clients. - Install and commission systems, conduct functional verification tests, and assure proper system startup. - Provide on‑site or remote support for troubleshooting and maintenance issues. Required Skills - Expertise in Siemens PLC, HMI, and networking environments. - Proficiency in industrial programming languages (e.g., Structured Text, Ladder Logic). - Strong knowledge of automated equipment and industrial control systems. - Ability to read, interpret, and design electrical schemes. - Competence in CAD/CAE software and simulation tools. - Analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and clear technical documentation. Required Education & Certifications - Degree or equivalent qualification in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Computing, or related field. - Siemens certification (e.g., Siemens Process Control Systems, PLC Engineer) or similar industry credential preferred.
