Job Description
**Job Title:** Nuclear Talent Pool **Role Summary** Serve as a specialist placement partner for nuclear energy projects, facilitating the recruitment, onboarding, and career development of technical and non‑technical talent across the nuclear asset lifecycle. Provide end‑to‑end support for a broad portfolio of expertise including process control, project management, design engineering, civil, instrumentation & control, mechanical, piping/feeder, fuel handling, 3‑D modelling, licensing, and reactor core/radiation physics. **Expectations** - Build and maintain a high‑quality pipeline of qualified candidates for nuclear programmes nationwide. - Partner with internal subject‑matter experts and external clients to define role requirements, competitive positioning, and market intelligence. - Deliver rapid, compliant candidate placements that meet energy‑sector talent demands and support Canada’s clean‑energy growth goals. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Generate candidate sources through industry networking, events, and targeted outreach. 2. Conduct pre‑screening interviews, assessing technical knowledge, experience, and cultural fit. 3. Coordinate technical evaluations, reference checks, and preliminary licensing verification. 4. Maintain applicant tracking system data, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting to stakeholders. 5. Support onboarding processes, orientation, and integration of new hires into nuclear project teams. 6. Provide career coaching and professional development resources to talent pool members. 7. Analyze talent market trends to recommend workforce strategy adjustments. 8. Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and licensing requirements for all placements. **Required Skills** - Deep understanding of nuclear industry disciplines (process control, project management, design engineering, civil, instrumentation & control, mechanical, piping/feeder, fuel, 3‑D modelling, licensing, reactor core/radiation physics). - Strong recruitment and talent‑matching expertise in regulated technical fields. - Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Ability to interpret engineering CVs, technical specifications, and licensing documents. - Strategic thinking for talent‑pipeline development and market analysis. - Familiarity with Canadian employment law, safety standards, and licensing frameworks (e.g., P.E., nuclear licensing bodies). **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Materials) or related technical discipline. - Professional engineering registration (P.E., or equivalent) preferred for engineering categories. - Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification desired. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NRC Licence, ISO 14001, OSHA, or equivalent safety/quality credentials) are advantageous. ---
