Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Tax & Compliance Accountant **Role Summary:** Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, ESG disclosures and risk management for a large corporate organization. Acts as a liaison between internal finance teams, external auditors, tax advisors and the parent company, supporting consolidation, audit readiness and strategic financial initiatives. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, GAAP‑aligned financial statements and reconciliations. - Ensure timely filing of all tax returns (local, state, federal). - Maintain up‑to‑date insurance coverage, risk registers and mitigation plans. - Provide ESG data and disclosures in accordance with industry standards. - Support parent‑company reporting, data conversion and audit coordination. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Parent Company Reporting & Financial Conversion** – convert and consolidate financial data using Tagetik, maintain consistency and accuracy, support consolidation audits. 2. **General Ledger & Financial Reporting** – day‑to‑day GL accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, monthly/quarterly/annual statements, variance analysis, management insights. 3. **Tax Compliance & Coordination** – prepare and submit tax filings, liaise with external tax firms, manage tax documentation and audit support. 4. **Insurance & Risk Management** – administer policies, renewals, claims, risk register maintenance, implement mitigation strategies. 5. **ESG Compliance & Reporting** – coordinate ESG metrics, align with parent ESG team, submit required disclosures. **Required Skills:** - Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations. - Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central) and Tagetik. - Proficient in financial consolidation, GL processes and reporting. - Excellent analytical, detail‑oriented and problem‑solving abilities. - Effective communication and stakeholder management. - Familiarity with ESG reporting standards. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. - CPA preferred. - Minimum 5 years of corporate finance or accounting experience, including tax and consolidation exposure.
