Job Description
**Job Title** Lab Specimen Processor **Role Summary** Process and manage animal specimens for laboratory testing. Enter prescriptions into the Molis system, perform administrative tasks for patient records, update the client database, and collaborate with veterinarians to ensure accurate, timely workflow execution. **Expectations** * Schedule: Monday‑Friday 1:30 pm‑9:30 pm; Saturday 11:00 am‑7:00 pm. * Handle urgent and routine orders with precision. * Maintain clear communication with veterinarians and stakeholders. * Uphold data integrity and comply with laboratory procedures. **Key Responsibilities** - Input prescriptions into Molis, capturing animal, prescriber, requested analyses, and urgency status. - Verify existing animal records; create new patient dossiers; duplicate data where required; manage contracts and additional analysis information. - Create and update veterinarian accounts in the client database, ensuring accurate access and information. - Coordinate with veterinary staff to prioritize samples and manage workflow. - Perform quality checks on entered data and resolve discrepancies. **Required Skills** - Prior experience in a laboratory or specimen‑processing environment, preferably veterinary. - Proficiency with Molis or equivalent laboratory information systems. - Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. - Capacity to multitask and maintain meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication; customer‑service orientation. - English language skills are an asset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum secondary education (high school diploma) or equivalent. - Veterinary laboratory training or certification is preferred but not mandatory. - No specific certifications required.
