Job Title: MuleSoft Engineer II
Role Summary:
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable MuleSoft integration solutions and APIs within an Agile, DevOps‑driven environment. Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver high‑quality, secure, and performance‑optimized integrations that support enterprise data workflows and third‑party connectivity.
Expectations:
- Deliver robust MuleSoft integrations on time and within scope.
- Actively participate in design reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and adhere to coding standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and build MuleSoft integrations (Mule 4) using Anypoint Platform, DataWeave, and relevant connectors.
- Design, implement, and version RESTful and SOAP APIs, ensuring compliance with security, performance, and scalability requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and UX designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Integrate with cloud and on‑prem systems, performing data mapping, transformation, and orchestration.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and functional tests; apply Test‑First and Acceptance Criteria‐Driven development.
- Participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, managing Git, Jenkins/TeamCity, Docker, and Kubernetes orchestration where applicable.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate production incidents, providing timely resolution.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, flowcharts, and diagrams.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4) – integration design, API lifecycle management, DataWeave.
- Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and data transformation patterns.
- Experience with Java, Spring framework, and related libraries.
- Familiarity with Agile SDLC, Scrum or Kanban processes.
- Version control (Git) and CI/CD pipeline configuration.
- Knowledge of API security (OAuth, JWT, TLS, SAML).
- Problem‑solving ability, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- MuleSoft Certified Developer – Mule 4 (MuleDev‑MuleCD4–001).
- Additional certifications (MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or MuleSoft Certified API Designer) preferred.
