**Job Title**
Senior Platform Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, build, and sustain enterprise software platforms using Agile practices. Configure and customise platform components to meet organisational needs, develop applications, workflows, integrations, and ensure stability, security, and performance. Automate processes, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient platform architectures.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality, reliable platform solutions in cloud and on‑premises environments.
- Drive continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and incident management.
- Work cross‑functionally with application teams, ITSM, and business units to meet changing requirements.
- Lead the design of telemetry and event‑driven pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain monitoring solutions (AppDynamics, Elastic Stack, CloudWatch, Site24x7).
- Analyse business and technical requirements and evaluate architectural options.
- Enhance CI/CD processes and pipelines for rapid, reliable deployments.
- Build and manage telemetry ingestion, dashboarding, and alerting pipelines (Elastic ingestion, BigPanda lifecycle, ServiceNow routing).
- Create system guidelines, process documentation, and training materials.
- Execute day‑to‑day incident and request ticket resolution.
- Own platform scalability, resiliency, and efficiency projects, including acquisitions, divestitures, and migrations.
**Required Skills**
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (AppDynamics, Elastic Stack, CloudWatch, Site24x7).
- Experience with incident lifecycle management (BigPanda, ServiceNow).
- Proven ability to engineer distributed telemetry pipelines and large‑scale dashboards.
- Expertise in alert normalization, enrichment, and correlation patterns.
- Familiarity with Open Integration Hub, webhook and API‑based event integration.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud/on‑prem platform configuration.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Practitioner, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or related platform‑engineering credentials are preferred.
