**Job Title:** Software Development Engineer 1 **Role Summary:** Execute end‑to‑end engineering of AI‑driven product features for an AI‑first platform. Collaborate with senior engineers and AI specialists to design, build, test, and deploy production‑grade data pipelines, APIs, and autonomous workflows. **Expectations:** - Early‑career engineer (0–2 years). - Rapid learning of AI/ML fundamentals and tools. - Own features from concept through delivery, optimizing speed, quality, and learning. - Proactive communication and cross‑functional collaboration. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with AI specialists to design and implement AI‑powered product features. - Develop, unit‑test, and maintain high‑quality, production‑grade code for data pipelines, REST APIs, and autonomous agent workflows. - Use AI copilots for coding, testing, and documentation within an AI‑first development environment. - Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives to uphold high quality and agile standards. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with human‑in‑the‑loop validation. - Prototype and iterate on MVPs to validate product impact quickly. - Monitor performance, reliability, and scalability of AI‑driven services. - Apply lean, metrics‑driven operating model (DORA, AI adoption, PR cycle time). **Required Skills:** - Strong programming in Java, Python, TypeScript, or Go. - Version control (Git), CI/CD pipeline management, and REST API design. - Cloud experience (AWS preferred). - Basic knowledge of ML/AI concepts or strong willingness to learn rapidly. - Problem‑solving with a bias for action. - Clear written and verbal communication. - Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional, fast‑paced teams. **Preferred (but not required) Skills:** - Familiarity with LLM or generative AI tools (OpenAI API, LangChain). - Experience with data processing frameworks (Spark, Airflow) or vector databases. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). - Exposure to frontend frameworks (React, Next.js). - Passion for automation, experimentation, and AI ecosystems. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
