**Job Title**
Systems Design & Implementation Project Manager
**Role Summary**
Lead the planning, design, and execution of transport system components for a large rail infrastructure project. Ensure technical coherence, quality delivery, adherence to cost, schedule, and regulatory requirements, and coordinate across multiple contractors and stakeholder groups.
**Expectations**
- Deliver projects within budget, on time, and to specified performance and safety standards.
- Provide technical and managerial leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to commissioning.
- Foster effective collaboration among internal teams, contractors, and external partners, maintaining strong communication and proactive risk mitigation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Pilot and validate system designs delivered by design‑build contractors, preventing and resolving design reserves.
- Ensure execution quality, optimize cost, schedule, and performance, and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate technical and time interfaces with cross‑functional system and subcontractor packages.
- Prepare and support system handover to operators, including operational and maintenance readiness.
- Lead testing, safety integrity, and performance demonstration activities.
- Produce accurate reporting, manage system‑specific risks, and monitor budget within scope.
- Maintain relationships with master planners, contractors, integrators, and regulatory bodies.
**Required Skills**
- Proven project management of public infrastructure, preferably railway or complex transport systems.
- Deep understanding of transport system constraints (safety, operability, maintainability).
- Mastery of project management methodologies, scheduling, and budget control tools.
- Ability to manage multi‑disciplinary interfaces and coordinate deliverables across functions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and project management software.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor + 5 (Master/Engineering degree) in Engineering or equivalent.
- Preferable specialization in railway/transport engineering or related master’s program.
- Certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
