Job Description
Job title: Customer Success Intern Role Summary: Assist in building and scaling the Customer Success (CS) function for a high‑growth SaaS shipping platform. Manage a portfolio of long‑tail accounts, ensuring timely renewals, billing accuracy, and customer engagement while identifying upsell opportunities and documenting repeatable CS processes. Expectations: - Work 20 hrs/week, onsite collaboration with the CS and leadership teams. - Actively contribute to the design and refinement of CS workflows and playbooks. - Demonstrate professionalism in handling financial discussions and resolving objections. Key Responsibilities: 1. **Renewal Management** – Proactively reach out to customers before contract end, negotiate terms, and secure renewals. 2. **Account Health Monitoring** – Track billing status, follow up on overdue invoices, and resolve discrepancies to prevent service interruption. 3. **Growth Identification** – Analyze usage data to uncover white‑space, flag upsell/cross‑sell prospects aligned with customer goals. 4. **Issue De‑escalation** – Serve as the first‑line contact for customer concerns, apply empathy and problem‑solving to convert risks into success stories. 5. **Process Development** – Document processes, craft email templates, and create scalable CS playbooks. Required Skills: - Excellent written and verbal communication, able to simplify complex concepts. - Empathetic de‑escalation and conflict‑resolution capability. - Data‑oriented mindset: comfortable reviewing metrics, trends, and account activity. - Technical familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and G‑Suite/Office. - Team collaboration and proactive ownership.
