Job title: Technical‑Functional Architect – INSEE Website (M/F)
Role Summary: Define, evolve and maintain the functional architecture of the INSEE website, ensuring consistency between legacy and new systems, optimizing performance, accessibility, SEO and user experience.
Expactations: Deliver a coherent functional model for front‑office, back‑office, data flows and APIs; collaborate across the product team (business analysts, PO, developers); support functional analysis; influence technical decisions; drive adoption of functional architecture standards; translate business requirements into clear functional specifications; contribute to the transition from XML to JSON and other key refactor initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure functional architecture integrity of the INSEE web platform.
- Maintain the functional mapping of FO, BO, data flows, APIs and services.
- Lead key projects: navigation, search engine, data visualization, XML→JSON migration, performance, SEO.
- Participate in defining the target technical architecture, identifying dependencies, impacts, and risks.
- Align new system components with legacy, microservices and data layers.
- Support functional analysis, formalize business rules, flows, use‐cases.
- Advise on product decisions, user impact, simplification of user journeys.
- Ensure accessibility, SEO/GEO compliance and overall UX quality (RGAA, front‑end and back‑end quality).
- Promote architecture culture, raise the team’s awareness of functional debt, and engage in product governance.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years in functional architecture, design of complex web systems, preferably in agile environments.
- Strong understanding of web architectures, functional modeling, APIs, data schemas.
- Ability to structure, simplify processes and translate technical changes to business impact.
- Pedagogical communication, synthesis, collaborative mindset.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (RGAA), SEO, user experience best practices.
- Proficiency in English at intermediate level.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Minimum Master’s degree (Level 7) in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.
- Certifications in web architecture, data management or UX design are an advantage but not mandatory.
