About the Company

Klasmann-Deilmann is the leading corporate group in the international growing media industry, with sales and production companies in Europe, Asia and America. On every continent, our substrates provide a vital basis for the growth of fruit, vegetables, edible fungi, ornamental plants, trees and shrubs. Our product portfolio includes growing media for professional growers and the consumer sector, white and black peat as raw materials from our own resources, and green compost and wood fibre manufactured in-house. Moreover, we internationally distribute the innovative propagation system Growcoon. Our online platform Log & Solve allows observation and analysis of cultivation parameters, and helps to enhance the efficiency of cultivation methods and reduce failure rates. As a supplier of renewable resources, we have also established ourselves in the field of renewable energy. Our short-rotation coppice (SRC) plantations contribute to the supply of climate-friendly energy, especially in the Baltic region. We take our responsibility for humankind, the environment and future generations seriously. We prepare our Sustainability Report in line with the Global Reporting Initiative’s GRI Standards 2016 and refer to internationally recognised benchmarks such as: Regeling Handels Potgronden (RHP) to monitor our raw materials and production processes or Responsibly Produced Peat (RPP) to manage our peat extraction sites. The strategic focus of our company, a medium-sized family business, is extremely forward looking. Keen to remain the most sustainable producer of growing media, we are working on far-reaching research projects to develop innovative raw materials, substrates and growing systems. In all of our activities, our employees are a foundational asset. Their expertise and commitment play a crucial role in moving us forward in terms of corporate sustainability and customer satisfaction.
